Dennis Curtis Memorial ACT Masters v Bega Rashes Challenge

This event commenced in 2009 following a stellar performance on and off the court by Bega at ACT’s 30th Anniversary event.

The Challenge is between the ACT Masters Club and Bega Squash Club

No age limit or residential restrictions for Bega Players (we use the State of Origin rules)

The two Clubs compete  for the “Rashes” trophy, created by the burning of two old style wooden racquets (one from Bega and one from ACT) along with a wristband owned by Shirley Hannon (past Bega Champion) AND a squash ball, all sealed in a special urn which is displayed by the winning club for 12 months.

In 2025 the event was named in honour of past club President and one of the inaugaral organisers of the Rashes, Dennis Curtis.
